What We Believe
About the Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and that men were moved and inspired by the Spirit of God to write all its contents.
About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who came in a human body to reveal God to all people and is the Savior of the lost world. We also believe the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Trinity (God the Spirit) is active among people today convicting their hearts and convincing them to pursue forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ.
About Humanity
We believe that God created all people in His image to have a genuine relationship with Him. People are alienated in that relationship because of sinful disobedience. As a result, all people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God by their own efforts.
About Salvation
We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from the grave provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians are to live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Bible and yielding continually to the Spirit of God, every believer can mature and grow in Christlikeness.
About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, and Jesus Christ is the head. Membership is through salvation made possible through Jesus Christ. The members of the church are those who by faith trust in Christ and submit to Him. The church's purpose is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.
